The Treasure Land Adventure continues in Pt. 2, as Harold runs into his old nemesis from the Cool Spot playthrough…the villainous entity known as the TRAIN LEVEL!
Harold’s back to continue his McDonald’s journey, and this time Ronald himself, is after a mysterious treasure, in McDonald’s Treasure Land Adventure!
Giant monsters smashing buildings is never NOT cool (unless it’s happening to you). Reed and I play both the classic Rampage arcade game, as well as the 90s sequel “World Tour”!
The dinosaur adventure continues, as we try to save the world in Prehistoric Isle, Part 2!
In the spirit of Saturday Morning Cartoons, here is a game inspired by that classic super-hero-y-ness. And this is the epic, heroic title theme, for Flying Warriors on the NES!
Do ya like Dinosaurs? Do you like planes and explosions? Do you like classic arcade shootin games? Do you like games where you BLOW UP dinosaurs? Well then this is right up your alley!
So last but certainly not least, even though I had previously already gotten to World 4, I decide to take a second crack at the Super Mario Bros. Challenge myself. Can I top my old “one life” record? Guess we’ll have to find out.
The journey is winding down, and as we sail towards the end, we have to traverse the Orange Ocean! An entire OCEAN, made of orange. Crazy.
William decided that he hated his first Super Mario Bros. Challenge run. So he demanded a Redemption Run, and I decided to allow it, for sheer entertainment value. Will he beat Harold’s run, or will he fall flat on his face?
You know what Kirby’s favorite king of yogurt is? The kind with hot lava and deadly spikes in it, of course!
Commando Brando decided to take a crack at Super Mario Bros. Challenge. Will he do better than his old friends, The Brothers (Harold and William), or will they get to make fun of him for life?
We now venture to the Grape Gardens, which on the surface, sound like a very peaceful place. But don’t be fooled! All kinds of dangers await, including….ANCIENT ALIENS!
And now for Pt. 2 of “A History of Female Heroes in Gaming”, looking at the epic 90s! http://retrorevelations.blogspot.com/2018/02/femme-fatales-history-of-female-heroes.html And here’s a preview of what’s inside:
We now arrive at the Highest Calorie Building in the World: The Butter Building! An entire tower made out of butter! Doesn’t sound terribly structurally sound to me. But away we go!
We deserve a vacation, so we’re setting sail for Ice Cream Island! Will it be a breeze, or will trouble await?
Time to dive head first into another of my top favorite games of all time, Kirby’s Adventure on NES! First up, somethings amiss in Vegetable Valley!
So Chris opened his big mouth, and said he could “easily” get through the original version of Double Dragon. Naturally, William and I decide to hold him to it, and so now the world gets to see JUST how much of a Double Dragon master Chris really…
It’s time to see what Chris and I are really made of. Are we bad enough dudes to save the President? Or will we forever miss out on that delicious burger at the end of the rainbow?
With Mario out of the way, it’s time to get serious! And speaking of serious, it turns out ninjas have kidnapped the President! Are Chris and I bad enough dudes to rescue the Prez? Guess we’ll find out!
In what I guess you could dub “Femme Fatale February”, I’m introducing a two-part look into the history of female game characters, predating the release of Tomb Raider in November of 1996. I think most people would be surprised at just how many game heroines there actually…
Another Saturday, another Super Mario Bros. 1 Game Challenge! It’s Harold’s turn, the guy who first introduced me to the NES and Mario as a kid! Have his skills stayed up to snuff? Find out!
The grand finale to this Super Mario Odyssey (see what I did there?) is here! If I can survive the BS of the last two worlds, it’s time to save the REAL princess, dammit!
Episode 3 of Super Mario Bros. is LIVE! Having a rough day, rough week, rough month? Don’t be Sour, Use Pasta Power!
Do you like retro gaming? Classic Mario action? How about totally cringe worthy moments? Well then this video has everything you’ll ever need! And if you missed my first attempt, the precursor to this madness, you can catch it here:
Episode 2 of the Super Mario Bros. adventure is live! Join The Brothers and I as we make our way past perilous pits and malevolent mushrooms!
There’s no better way to kick off a brand new year, than by finally getting around to the granddaddy that started ’em all, and my first gaming love, Super Mario Bros. on NES!
Time to wrap up another year, and what better way to do so than by looking at one of my top favorite games of all time: Actraiser on Super Nintendo! Published by Enix, Developed by Quintet, with one of the best gaming soundtracks of all time composed…
Episode 2 of Rescue Rangers is live! The jokes come twice as cheesy this time!
My friend “Arizona Jay” joins the channel to play one of his favorite NES games, Rescue Rangers!
A game I never owned as a kid, but rented more than once, the technical “sequel” to Godzilla: Monster of Monsters on NES is a very old school, turn-based strategy game. It’s not the most exciting, or glamorous, but I loved it as a kid, and am…
The final confrontation with the man behind the mask, Dr. Doom, is here!
We gotta head uptown, to face Wilson Fist, the totally non-legit Kingpin of Crime!
Spidey’s first arch-villain, the Green Goblin, is out to haunt, us! And it’s certainly not laughing matter!
The Halloween Countdown is finally over, but the Retro Revelations train rolls on! It’s another Wednesday, another video! Our pal Big Jay joins us, as we play the lesser known Sega arcade hit, Spider-Man! Excelsior!
You’ve seen the game, now hear one of the best game soundtracks ever made! My first non-NES soundtrack video, or “Bleeps and Bloops” game music video period, Super Castlevania IV happens to have one of my favorite SNES game soundtracks ever. So enjoy the spooky sounds, just…
It’s the Final Countdown! We’ve come to the end of this epic (and painful) journey, and now it’s time for you all to see one of the most ridiculous boss rushes in video game history! And just a fair warning…Dracula himself is one bad mother-SHUT YO MOUTH!…
Now that Nick and Corey have taken a crack at one of the hardest games ever made, now it’s my turn! Will I actually manage to beat the first level, or suck as bad as they did?
As we draw ever nearer to the evil Dracula’s lair, we have to deal with possibly the most decrepit and dusty of his poor housekeeping yet! Plus a brush with Frankenstein’s Monster, and more!
Spooky Saturday is back, and now Corey is taking the Super Ghouls n Ghosts Game Challenge. Will he get further than Nick did? We’ll let YOU be the judge!
So in light of the recent debate that seems to have cropped up online, as to whether or not “NES games have aged well”, I typed up what I’d like to think is a pretty solid response. http://silverbulletbill.blogspot.com/2017/10/aging-gracefully-argument-for.html
