Double Dragon for the #Sega Master System | Nate’s RetroPlays

In this video, I am playing Double Dragon for the Sega Master System. This game was released in 1989 and is a port of the classic arcade game of the same name. In this game, you play as Jimmy and Billy Lee as you fight your way through waves of enemies on psuedo-3D stages.  Your characters have various attacks as well as the ability to pickup weapons and other object to throw. Each stage contains some sort of boss-like fight that you must defeat to continue.

Overall, this game is a fun game and a decent port of the arcade.  It retains the general idea of the game well and includes two player simultaneous play, something the more popular NES port didn’t.  The music sounds great, though the sound effects themselves leave a lot to be desired.  Graphically this was one of the stronger versions of the game at the time of it’s release.
