Hello fearless frogs! Happy Portable Week here at the Skirmish Frogs pond. What better way to celebrate than to see more of what this quirky Game Boy Color game has to offer us?
We last left Barry and Lucia recovering from their first encounter with Mr. Tyrant nipples, who turned into some kind of goo that melted off the deck in the rain. Lucia said he was gone for good but Barry thought it was odd how sure she was.
Leon, we’re still coming for you!
After taking a last look around the deck, Barry heads in out of the rain.
This triggers Save Point 3!
I know this game was criticized for not having save points very often, but since the first one I think they have been at good intervals gameplay-wise.
Barry and Lucia are just about to discuss where to head next when Barry gets a call from the boss!
He sounds very concerned.
I’m sure he will be back, despite what Lucia suggests.
Do tell! 😀
Let’s head there right now!!
Now where are the first class cabins…?
Okay, we can search a lower floor. Maybe we’ll just follow Lucia for now. As we were already in the elevator corridor, Barry goes down one floor to the upper lobby.
Lucia points out that this door leading east goes to the first class cabins.
Unfortunately, we aren’t able to enter!
Well, not quite what we need but okay.
Good point Barry. We are getting low on card keys lately.
In the meantime, Lucia equips our extra armor and the knife, just in case she needs to defend herself. But I’m hoping she won’t need to…
The second class cabins are just on the other side of the upper lobby.
Barry uses Lucia’s key to unlock the door. In the following hallway, Barry explores the north section first, finding some herbs and bullets in a few potted plants.
The picture above was taken just seconds before we were ambushed by three zombies waiting in the dark! >:D
The last potted plant has some assault rifle ammo for us, and of course we are not able to pick it up. 🙁
With the hallway itself explored, Barry begins to check some of the rooms. Most are empty other than a few zombies, and some doors are locked. He reaches the lower portion of the hallway.
Most of the cabins have cupboards, and Barry finds some extra ammo and herbs laying around.
But a bigger find is in a nearby room!
Yeah, that’s going to come in handy! Wonder what we’re going to use it on?
Thanks for dropping those hints, Semtex! I had no idea there even was a locked door to the Captain’s room. Awesome.
Barry leaves the room and checks a few more. In another nearby cabin, he finds yet another useful tool.
Oh, if only the master of unlocking were here to help us.
But Barry can figure it out. He heads to the room in the northwest of the hallway that had been locked, and tries the lock pick.
It takes a couple of tries, but he is able to pick the lock. Moving inside, Barry quickly takes down another zombie and searches a nearby dresser.
Okay, guess that’s going to be nearby as well!
Barry looks around the rest of the room and finds something very exciting in the cupboard.
Yeah!! Now we can pick up all those bullets we’ve had to leave behind. :\
The first one being right outside this door!
Barry looks around the remaining rooms and finds the other locked door at the far southwest corner of the hallway.
He uses the key and the door opens. Inside, after killing another zombie, Barry inspects the cabinet.
Just what we needed! Great job, Barry.
Lucia comments that she will follow us there. Sounds a lot better than wandering off on your own!
As we leave, we trigger save point 4. Something big must be coming up!
Will the first class key lead us to Leon? What happened with Mr. Tyrant nipples? Is Lucia acting weird or are we just being suspicious?
