Retro VGM Revival Hour – STAGE 35: CASTLEVANIA (Part 2)

STAGE-35_castlevania2It’s really hard to believe that it’s been almost 3 decades since we were first introduced to Konami’s Castlevania, which has become its very own institution in gaming. We still remember those first few steps we took with Simon Belmont, on his request to destroy Dracula and his army of ghouls and monsters. And since then, the series has gradually grown into something stronger, thanks to the addition of compelling gameplay, unique storylines, and memorable boss encounters. Many still consider it one of the best video game series that is still enjoyable to this day.

So let’s return to That famous castle once again for the most haunting adventure that only the bravest vampire hunters can endure. what better way to venture forth in this dark world filled with monsters and creatures of the night than with some amazingly inspiring tracks in this STAGE of the retro vim revival hour covering CASTLEVANIA games.

Retro VGM Revival Hour – PLATFORMERS

RVGMep33Platformers are ,for many gamers, the first introduction into the world of video games. Many of them have existed since the inception of arcades, home consoles, portable devices or even the home Personal Computer. There is certainly something about a platform game that’s just right.

Certainly, there are many Iconic game titles we can turn to when we’re looking for some old-school gaming enjoyment but lets not ignore the new generation of titles that were influenced by those old school favorites, which is why this episode of the retro VGM revival hour is dedicated to Platform games.

Retro VGM Revival Hour SHOW – Episode 2: Games Based on Movies

VGMep2YT

Nothing better than to escape from reality than enjoying yourself at your local multiplex and enjoying what Hollywood and its many movie stars have to offer. Video games based on movie properties for many gamers are an extension of the movies storyline or give you a different story all together that takes place within that same world or universe to bring you a unique gaming experience.

You would think that these two forms of media would seem like a match made in heaven But, as with many games based on movies, these adaptations are often disastrous.

But we cannot deny, that some of these movie based games have some amazing music. That is why this STAGE of the Retro VGM Revival Show is honoring games based on movies.
